SawCutter 2.0 FAQ
- How do I get rid of the clicking noise?
- Can I get SawCutter to work with Cubase, Cakewalk, etc?
- How do I purchase a registered version of SawCutter 2.0?
1. How do I get rid of the clicking noise?
If you are getting a lot of clicking noises the first thing you should do is
increase the latency. 0.1 seconds on a 700mhz machine should remove any
clicking. If you are running any other applications you might try to close
them. SawCutter will also produce a lot of clicking if many notes are
played at once. Setting the sample rate to 22050 Hz will also help.
SawCutter is a CPU intensive application. If you have a slower machine,
some clicks may not be avoidable.
2. Can I get SawCutter to work with Cubase,
Cakewalk, etc?
Yes, you can use a program such as MIDI-Yoke to send MIDI out commands from a
sequencer such as Cubase to SawCutter. Make sure the MIDI device within
SawCutter is turned on and that MIDI Thru is turned off in Cubase. Running
a sequencer like Cubase and SawCutter at the same time will tax the CPU.
Make sure your machine is fast enough >500mhz.
