I downloaded SawCutter 2.0 last night and had the most fun with a piece of
software or a synth for ages. It's absolutely brilliant - proper hand's on
synthesis and quick riff-creation. Within a matter of minutes (and with no
tedious manual reading) I was producing musically useful results. I'm amazed
at how good it is considering it's shareware - where do you find the time?!

This is freeware????? SawCutter is better program than most commercial music
programs all put together. It's nearly as powerful as, though different than
(and it should be different than!), my 88-key Alesis QS8 master synthesizer with
a Mac computer running MOTU's FreeStyle MIDI ($3000+ worth of
hardware/software). I could put out CD's with SawCutter alone along with ANY
multi-tracker. If you have basic synth knowledge, you'll be doing new and
awesome stuff easily and immediately. SawCutter would certainly have a place in
the arsenal of any studio.

Hey man,... I've just downloaded your program,.. ie Sawcutter 1.0 and I think
it's the dopest music creation software I have used so far. It's small and easy
to learn and use. I created a fine sample within minutes of starting using it. I
have used several programs such as E-jay (which I got from the cover of a
computing magazine - I bought that magazine for 5 pounds so I could get E-jay)
and Music Maker pro (By Data Becker -which I bought from PC World for 30
pounds!!!) and thought they were very very crappy. I have since uninstalled them
and they languish in my cupboards where there belong. On my harddrive is where
Sawcutter 1.0 belongs. I can hardly wait for Sawcutter 2.0,.. keep up the good
work y'all!!!
"Amazing program."
Together with a wave editor, effect program, drumbox and a mixer, this is all
you need to make spectacular music fast. Lets you be creative. It takes some
time to learn all the functions, but after a while, when you understand the
interface, you'll be making great music.

I use this to create absolutely warped phrases which I export to my cubase for
subsequent looping and release into the wild. Not the usual type of synth
editor,but a full fledged tool for creating. A little difficult to get used but
when you do,bliss.

For the size of the file, this program has more features than some of the
programs that are huge and expensive. At first it is a little unclear how to
make multiple measure for each channel, but once you get going, the songs you
can produce are spectacular. A must download for every music hobbyist.

Whoa! This much in 160kb! (zipped) it has neat effects you can play with
(notably chorus) and various articulation settings. Very detailed! Although I
reccomend this for people who understand how music works because if you don't,
you'll probably be very confused..

I like this thing. If you have trouble with the interface, then you have never
seen Cakewalk!! The sounds are neat....and with a little knowledge of harmonies,
and basic synth knowledge, it could be awesome for game background writing. The
ability to manipulate sounds is incredible. I cannot believe this is free! You
have to be patient enough to want to just fiddle with it (no pun intended),
because it isn't really self-explanitory. Painless download...you have nothing
to lose by trying it. If you don't like it, just delete it!!

"Just what I want!"
I'm no musician, nor have I ever used sound synthesizers before. After about 5
min of goofing around with this product, I figured out how to make notes and
having no musical knowledge, I had fun with "random" notes to make
nifty tunes that sound great in my games! This is exactly what I wanted for my
game sound effects and music :)

If you don't know music notes, the basic ones, you'll have a hard time using the
program to begin with. The real fun is looping your beats, and creating
different sounds. Not easy to use, but manageable, and the stuff you make can
sound very decent, I love it.

yeah im just mailing you to say that your program is the shiznit. It has
completely helped me remold my musics sound. i run my voice through it and i can
get some tight f**kin sounds. its so awesome how you can import wavs and create
slides so easily. its hard to find a prog that will do that
